‘Smart antivirus hinge’ After the breakout of the coronavirus, good personal hygiene has become the most important thing to prevent us from getting sick. Covid-19 can enter our bodies from our eyes, mouth and nose. Our hands become the most frequent carrier of the virus. The virus can be spread through the public objects that virus is commonly attached on, a healthy person touches the public objects with hands and brings the virus to their eyes, mouth or nose and get infected. We study one of the most commonly used public objects - doors. In our daily life, there are doors everywhere and they become the virus breeding and spreading bed. That’s why we started to think if we do not need to open those public doors with our hands we can highly decrease the possibility of the virus-spreading, especially the doors in the washroom. However, if we change all the doors to automatic doors, it will cost us a lot of money and time. In our school, there are 3 cubicles in each washroom that means we need to install 3 doors. If we need to change the door to a cheapest automatic door. It will cost us at least 200 US dollars for one that means 600 US dollars for a washroom. A better automatic door will cost us 500 US dollars each and 1500 US dollars for a washroom. And those automatic doors will become less necessary after the virus is gone. That’s why we design the ‘Smart antivirus hinge’, our products can change a normal door into a door that can be opened or closed automatically. And it is much cheaper than installing a new automatic door. Each one of our CPU can control 5 doors at a time, and a single CPU cost only 20 US dollars and the ‘Smart antivirus hinge’ cost 10 US dollars each. Reforming one of our school washroom with our products costs only 50 dollars. Our products save us from the virus with the least amount of money.
